About Nat
Natalie Gordon is a Philadelphia-based illustrator and animator whose work is rooted in fashion, femininity, nostalgia, and fantasy. She is drawn to the visual details that make up our identities: the clothes we wear, the makeup we choose, the spaces we create, and the objects we surround ourselves with.
Her work is inspired by things like fairytales, folklore, vintage fashion, cinema, and the nostalgia of girlhood. She finds beauty in both the romantic and the strange, pulling from everything from Renaissance and Victorian aesthetics to early 2000s pop culture, manga and anime, contemporary fashion, and the visual worlds of her favorite artists and filmmakers.
Natalie is particularly interested in the contrast between fantasy and everyday life. Her illustrations explore the experience of being young, finding yourself, falling in love, getting your heart broken, and figuring out what comes next, often through expressive characters, fashion, playful motifs, and surreal details.
She approaches each project with curiosity and a love for visual storytelling, whether developing a world of her own or collaborating with a brand, artist, or creative team to bring an idea to life.
Working Together
Every project begins with a conversation. Clients can submit an inquiry form with a few details about their project, and Nat will follow up with a personalized quote based on the scope and creative needs. Once the project is ready to move forward, she will coordinate with you to schedule a call and discuss the concept, logistics, deliverables, and timeline.
From there, Natalie develops a mood board and initial concepts to establish the creative direction. Depending on the project, clients will receive 2–5 rough sketch ideas to choose from, followed by 1–2 rounds of revisions to refine the selected direction.
Once the final artwork is approved, she will deliver high-quality final files in the format best suited to the project, including JPEG or MP4. Clients will also receive the accompanying mood board and final concept for their records.
